Kelvin Energy takes on its first Apprentices

Published 04.11.2014
Good recruitment at all levels is critical to a successful business.
We are committed to developing our business not just from lateral hires but from the grass roots which is why we have engaged with local colleges in Loughborough and Leicester to hire two apprentices under the new government apprenticeship scheme.

We see a big skill gap in engineering  in this country– especially in the niche area of HV design and substation projects.
The opportunity to train up staff from apprentice level is something we are keen to engage in, with the long term goal being the retention of all apprentices as fully functioning and integrated members of our design team.
