Senior Civil Revit Technician

Location: Leicester LE4 1ET. Full time. Mon – Fri 0830-1700hrs     Salary: £35,000-£40,000 + benefits
To meet an increasing workload and support the development and growth of our company, Kelvin Power, have a permanent position for an experienced Revit Technician within the Civil and Structural Engineering Department. Kelvin Power provides a wide range of engineering consultancy services on major infrastructure projects in the Energy Sector and have a 40 strong team of experienced multi-disciplinary engineers and technicians delivering solutions to projects across the UK and ROI. Responsibilities Create civil and structural models and drawings for teams to work on Meet project requirements in collaboration with other disciplines Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols Implement best practice procedure  Key Skills and Experience Minimum of ten years AutoCAD and Revit experience. AutoCAD/Revit Technician

Head of Protection and Control (P&C)

Location: Flexible (UK)     Salary: Competitive
Profile: You are a technically competent electrical engineer by background with experience of Protection and Control (P&C) design, commissioning, and assurance for transmission and distribution networks and clients such as National Grid, SSE, and Scottish Power. You’ll be proactive, enjoy working collaboratively and have strong leadership skills to lead a team and work in a supportive, and friendly environment. This opportunity is to strengthen our activities in transmission substation design, in particular to support EPC contractors for large transmission projects for National Grid, SSE and offshore wind developers. This is a unique opportunity for a subject matter expert in P&C who also has strong commercial acumen to further strengthen the team of protection engineers and grow this market. In addition to support to EPC contractors and Transmission and Distribution Companies, we expect the P&C team to provide support to large generation projects (onshore and offshore) as well as industrial systems. The Role: You will work along side design managers and chief engineers at a senior management position and lead a highly specialised technical department with focus on P&C and implementation of IEC61850 protocols on various projects. The department will be responsible for: Preparation of Engineering Package at tender stage and as part of the projects and production of Design Intent Document (DID), Functional Design Specification (FDS), Protection and Control Schemes and coordination plans. Configuration of protection relays in the software and Preparing relay settings & Fault level calculations. Attendance and sign off of FAT & commissioning of P&C solutions Design and verification of CT/VT Liaising with Substation Primary plant engineering, Electrical Engineering, OEMs, and clients on overall project delivery and those specific to P&C packageAs part of our team you’ll be providing expert advice across various projects within the immediate and wider business. This role will involve contributing to project development, engineering specification preparation, reviewing design specifications and design drawings for verification and assurance, and the production and management of both technical and operational data.
