Senior Civil Revit Technician

Location: Leicester LE4 1ET. Full time. Mon – Fri 0830-1700hrs     Salary: £35,000-£40,000 + benefits
To meet an increasing workload and support the development and growth of our company, Kelvin Power, have a permanent position for an experienced Revit Technician within the Civil and Structural Engineering Department. Kelvin Power provides a wide range of engineering consultancy services on major infrastructure projects in the Energy Sector and have a 40 strong team of experienced multi-disciplinary engineers and technicians delivering solutions to projects across the UK and ROI. Responsibilities Create civil and structural models and drawings for teams to work on Meet project requirements in collaboration with other disciplines Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols Implement best practice procedure  Key Skills and Experience Minimum of ten years AutoCAD and Revit experience. AutoCAD/Revit Technician

Kelvin Power provides a wide range of engineering consultancy services on major infrastructure projects in the Energy Sector and have a 40 strong team of experienced multi-disciplinary engineers and technicians delivering solutions to projects across the UK and ROI. Responsibilities Create Primary Plant models and drawings for teams to work on Meet project requirements in collaboration with other disciplines Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols Implement best practice procedure  Key Skills and Experience Minimum of five years AutoCAD and Revit experience. Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Leicester - Stafford - London (Sutton)     Salary: £35000-£45000

Kelvin Power are a member of the VINCI Energies Group. Such as the growing demand for energy and transport, optimisation of industrial processes, improvement of energy performance, and changes in demand in the telecommunications sector, among others. Responsibilities Develop designs in accordance with the Client’s requirements and relevant design standards to achieve cost effective solutions. These will include British Standards, European Standards and industry specific design standards developed by the likes of National Grid. The range of designs will include substation equipment foundations, equipment structures in steel and aluminium, multi-storey steel framed equipment buildings and elements of transmission towers, lightning masts and the like. Develop to advanced level in the use of structural analysis software, AutoCAD, MS Office and various other in house calculation software as required. Represent the structures department in multi-disciplinary project teams. Prepare and check structural reports, design calculations, structural analysis models and other written documents. Keep up to-date with industry developments and changes in standards.  Collaborate with other disciplines and offices within the company to develop successful designs and solutions to engineering problems. Travel to client and supplier facilities (UK wide) as required. Develop a good understanding of the background of our client’s business and Kelvin Power’s services to the energy sector and develop and maintain professional relationships which can secure repeat business. Key Skills and Experience Chartered Engineer with CEng MIStructE qualification (preferred)  Minimum 3 years of industry experience (5 years desirable) Desirable  - ability to design civils elements of work, for example foundations. Familiar with Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles and applications in civil and structure design  Experience of managing a design team Strong technical ability Knowledge of industry standards such as British Standards, Eurocodes, National Grid Able to work on own initiative Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills The company offers a very pleasant and friendly working environment. Assistant Head of Major Projects / Head of Major Project - Design and Consulting
